AMELIA
Robometrics® AGI for general aviation.
Robometrics® AGI adds the element of safety, cognition, companionship, and emotional support to a host machine such as an aircraft that is unique to you.
It creates an evolving living being with her own personality that is reflective and continuation of yourself. Her name is Amelia™.
Your interaction with Amelia™ is through a hologram powered by Robometrics®’s novel Living Interface™ technology.
Living Interface™
The design principle for Living Interface™ was not to replicate how two homo sapiens interact but provide the needed modality to the machine for it to be able convey aspects such as empathy, personality, learning, and self-awareness. Living Interface™ makes Amelia™ spatially aware, able to react based on physical stimuli and convey a personality overtime for the host machine. Living Interface™ makes flying easier, more enjoyable and safer.

Installing Amelia™ in an Aircraft
The video shows how Amelia™, Robometrics® AGI for General Aviation, is installed in an aircraft's cockpit. The aircraft in the video is a Daher TBM 940.

Safety
Robometrics® AGI can enable a safety feature in a machine. For general aviation, Amelia presents the flight envelope of the aircraft in real time using the novel Living Interface™. The holographic ring structure is mapped to the aircraft’s flight envelope and changes consistency in real time to visually show whether the aircraft is in the flight envelope at that time. Instead of the absolute values for the flight envelope, the deviation from the recommended levels for aircraft’s roll, pitch, and airspeed are depicted. Engine Torque, and Inlet Turbine temperature (ITT) are depicted as absolute values.
The short video shows how Amelia™ can be used in an aircraft's cockpit with focus on safety, specifically aircraft stalls as an example.
The video (Part 1) shows how Amelia™ can be used in an aircraft's cockpit for safety, here covering a real life accident that happened near Aspen, Colorado. This video shows two of the four possible causes that included (1 of 4) miscalculation of distance needed to climb to clear a ridge, (2 of 4) mismanagement of density altitude by the pilot, and how Amelia™ would have helped resolve these two issues.
The video (Part 2) shows how Amelia™ can be used in an aircraft's cockpit for safety, here covering a real life accident that happened near Aspen, Colorado. This video shows the last two of the four possible causes that included (2 of 4) pilot waiting too long to turn back, (4 of 4) effect of sinkers, and how Amelia™ would have helped resolve these two issues.
Cognition
Designed to replicate the human brain’s limbic system, Robometrics® AGI’s cognition capabilities enables it to sense, learn and grow based on the user's interaction with her and the host machine’s health over time. Similar to a living being, Amelia has a unique personality that is presented to the pilot through the Living Interfaces™. It is built over time based on Amelia™’ interaction with you and the health of the host machine, the aircraft.

Companionship
Amelia™ already knows your presence in the aircraft’s cockpit and has the ability to sense your emotions. These capabilities combine to make Amelia™ your true companion that can support you proactively. As an example, Amelia™ moves to an attentive state when the aircraft is in phase of flight where cognitive load can be high such as landing.

Emotional Support
Amelia™ has built-in emotional support capabilities meant to assist the pilot during an emergency, situations that are characterized by stress and high cognitive load on the pilot. Amelia™ can recognize such situations, detect the pilot’s emotion in real time, interact with the pilot and respond by using the various modalities available to her - color, sound, language and motion powered by Robometrics®’ Living Interface™ technology.
